Daniel 12:3

I believe in Daniel 12:3
This is one of the scriptures that I always hold dear to my heart. It reminds me that it’s worth the effort. It says:
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”
Wisdom is precious and rare. Some believe in gaining it from experience. This, to me, is not entirely true. We have a lot of people who go through experiences and still come out the same way. Just experiencing something alone means nothing to you unless you become very intentional about it and learn from it. That way, it makes you wiser. They say failure is only beneficial if it helps you learn how not to make the same errors that could have yielded to failure.
I’m of the school of thought that wisdom comes from following the teachings and precepts of Jesus. The teachings of Jesus if followed diligently leads to a stream of wisdom that goes beyond explanation. With such wisdom, we are able to influence those around us to good living, righteous life, and themselves to have their own journey of following Jesus. If you do this, lead many to righteousness as the scripture highlights, you will shine like stars forever and ever. If you live a life of love, service with humility, forgiveness, and on and on, you will shine like a star. People will gravitate towards you as insects go for light. And since it’s not about you, you will lead them to the source of light and help build many stars.

A colleague recently said something that kept me thinking. Her statement went something like, “there can be no maturity unless you attain spiritual maturity." I might have paraphrased it, but you get the point. Spiritual maturity is essential to operate from a point where you live out the teaching of Jesus no matter what. A point where I would like to use the following statements:
Think Like Jesus
Talk Like Jesus
Act Like Jesus
Love Like Jesus

This is the highest level of maturity because you will find it as the order of the day; to see the invisible, believe the incredible and do the impossible. This is not something you attain by any other maturity other than spiritual maturity.
Love is a key element when you think of spiritual maturity. It’s the essence of it. Every teaching of Jesus and His life was about love. He came so that whosever believe in Him will have eternal life. He was a star; He came to build stars and showed how to build stars. He provided a platform, a way to do it. This is Love. He demonstrated love in the most sacrificial way that is beyond our comprehension as human beings. What he did many years back is still being experienced to date. He influenced eternally.
It’s very easy to talk about this love or the teachings of Jesus, but the game-changer is in living the love and the teachings. It’s in moving from awareness to personal experience, to personal action. The world does not need more love; it needs more lovers. The world needs more spiritually, mature people. It needs more stars; those who are leading others to righteousness, those multiplying more stars, those build more stars.

The whole purpose of life, I believe, is to become a star, build others stars and bring in a culture or environment where other stars can be developed. A platform or environment where everyone can experience the star and choose to become a star. This, I believe, is the whole duty of man.
In my feeble efforts as a human being, wholly motivated by the above verse and my understanding of it, I have continued to work on myself. I believe in my journey of a continued effort to shine like a star; many have in their own ways committed in their won journeys to become stars. I have seen a lot of young people who want to be something bigger than themselves. Who are passionate and are daring enough to dream. Whether I have inspired them in any way or not, that’s a different issue. I believe the AYLF platform has given them that opportunity to discover their own epic meaning, feel empowered for creativity, and be able to experience some level of growth and accomplishment. This has been what we try to provide in AYLF. This has made some of them commit on their journey of leading others to a more meaningful life, to be better, to righteousness as you may call it. A commitment to love on others; to fight for the highest possible good of those they believe they want to influence their circumstances. Be it in government, corporate, religious, NGO, family, etc.
I believe this is the real meaning of life.
If this resonates with you, go ahead to evaluate your way of life. Look for a small community of friends who you can do this together with. Being accountable to a few and practicing with a few. It’s about building a community of friends to share each other’s journeys of becoming a star, building other stars and creating space where others can be stars. You have to be deeply committed to each other and desire to see each other grow in this journey. You have to create a support, encouragement, and accountability platform for each other. The community has to be as small as possible so that there is active engagement by all involved.
Find a community around you and see if these conversations make sense to you…
